Dragons Come Home: Return to Okinawa DV 115 min by David Shuff
During World War II, Japan's southernmost island of Okinawa was the site of the most horrific battle of the Pacific theater. While helping to rebuild, the occupying U.S. armed forces set up schools for their dependents. The documentary feature Dragons Come Home: Return to Okinawa follows a group of grown-up "military brats" returning to their high school in Okinawa after as many as 50 years away.

Testimonials
I found that getting the tape was about the best thing I could have done for myself; its a great way to show my daughter as well as friends what I have been blabbing about for years. If it werent for all of you doing this I would still be trying to figure out a way to explain myself. There is nothing to fault about this video at all!

I believe that anyone who shared the Okinawa experience as a child or teenager, regardless of when he or she had lived on the island, would enjoy the video immensely. My years on Okinawa were two of the best of my life, and I was able to revisit that time, thanks to the video.

What an awesome video. Anyone that lived, went to school on Okinawa will really be missing something if you don't get this tape. It is heartwarming and will make you laugh and cry so get your hankies ready. I can't wait to show the tape to my siblings and even my kids so they can see where their mom spent most of her teen years.

I ordered and received the Dragons Come Home video and absolutely LOVE it. I've watched it several times and get the same reaction every time: Smiles mixed with tears as I view "before" and after scenes of the island and share in the group's experience as they rekindle memories and build new ones. Reliving the love and friendliness of the people and beauty of the island makes me more determined than ever to go back again. Watching the video makes me feel as if I was there alongside each of them. As the time goes by and people begin to depart, the tears start up again because I don't want to leave the island or my friends I've gotten to know by sharing their experiences.

IT WAS AMAZING, GREAT, WONDERFUL and other superlative words. Words cannot fully express how much we enjoyed it, even absorbed it, if that makes sense. The video made us want to surely make the next trip.
